A generator has been a lifeline for the Sellers family in Edna. They haven't had power since 11:30 a.m. Saturday when a line broke on top of a pole.

The Sellers family was glad to see the crew from East Central Electric Co-Op. They've been working nonstop since Saturday morning.

East Central says more than 3600 members had their power knocked out on Saturday. By Monday morning, crews had the number without power down below 600.

East Central says its hardest hit area was just south of Kellyville. They had 20 crews out Monday and had to call in help from Arkansas Valley Electric Co-Op.

Once the line was fixed at Mike Sellers place, he was finally able to turn off that generator and head back inside without worrying about staying warm.

East Central, like all power companies, warns about downed power lines. They say if you see one, stay as far away as possible until a properly trained crew gets on the scene.
