Tulsa area drivers are seeing a nice surprise at the gas pump.
Prices across the country are falling and the latest Lundberg Survey shows prices have dropped two cents in the past two weeks.
Long Island, New York has the highest average price, while the lowest average price for a gallon of gasoline in the U.S. is right here in Tulsa.
In a news release, Lundberg says a gallon of regular-grade gasoline costs $3.26 on average across the United States, a decline of about 1.7 cents from two weeks ago, according to the survey taken on December 20.
A check of local stations showed $2.84 to $2.85 for a gallon of unleaded regular.
