Ramona Man Arrested For Raping 12-Year-Old Girl

A Ramona man is in the Washington County jail charged with rape by instrumentation, forcible sodomy and lewd acts with a child under 16.

According to an affidavit filed with the court, Bartlesville Police arrested Kevin Chapman, 21, after the father of a 12-year-old girl told them he found Chapman in his daughter's bed on October 14.

The girl told police she met Chapman on the internet and invited him to her home. She said Chapman did not want to come to her house, but said "she talked him into coming anyway."

In a court appearance this week, a judge ordered Chapman held on a $200,000 bond.

Court records show Chapman has another hearing on December 20.
