The Grove community will remember two of their own over the next few days - two young men who died when their SUV went over an 80-foot bluff into Grand Lake Thursday night.

Grove graduates Ky Collins, 22, and Jake Olsen, 23, died November 21, 2013.

A third man, 24-year-old Michael John McKinney of Oregon, was also killed when the SUV missed a curve and crashed through a guardrail into Blue Bluff Harbor.

Their bodies were recovered in a two-day effort by Grand River Dam Authority, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the Grove Fire Department and Cowskin Fire Department.

An obituary published in the Grove Sun notes that Collins was engaged to be married and is also survived by his parents, a brother and sister. He worked at Stanphill Construction in Afton and enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing.

Memorial services for Ky Collins will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, November 29, 2013, at the Elk River Baptist Church in Grove.

Jake Olsen was a lineman for Haverfield Aviation. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 30, 2013, at the Grand Lake Event Center.

A family friend released the following statement on behalf of Ky Collins' family:

"On behalf of the Collins family we are in awe of the outpouring of love and support we have received from the Grove and surrounding Grand Lake communities. It is truly a testament of not only how supportive our close knit community can be but also shows the impact these boys had on the lives of our friends and family.

Though we cannot bring them back or ever fill the void they left, we will continue to honor their memory by living life as they did, enjoying every moment, living life to its fullest, and having no regrets.

We will forever miss you and are thankful for the years we were blessed enough to have you in our lives."

The families have set up a memorial fund for the two men from Grove at YouCaring.com.
