Tulsa Nursing Home Patient Treated For Asthma Symptoms After Small Fire

The Tulsa Fire Department was sent to the center at 6202 East 61st Street at about 1 a.m. after they say some rags caught fire in a kitchen closet.

Firefighters treated a one resident of Tulsa's Maplewood Care Center for breathing problems after small kitchen fire early Wednesday.

The Tulsa Fire Department was sent to the center at 6202 East 61st Street at about 1 a.m. after they say some rags caught fire in a kitchen closet.

Smoke from the fire could be sent throughout the center.

Fire officials say the smoke was ventilated from the center and one resident was treated for asthma symptoms.

Cause of the fire remains under investigation.
