Police say a Tulsa man is in the hospital for injuries he received when a Jeep Grand Cherokee crashed through his bedroom wall early Monday.

Officers said the man and his wife were asleep when the Jeep hit their house in the 2400 block of South 84th East Avenue at about 2:30 a.m.

Police arrested the driver on suspicion of DUI. Ashley Hill told police she "chugged" a drink called a "Dirty Pirate Hooker" before leaving work, an arrest report states.

Police said Hill, 27, was headed east on 24th Street when she apparently lost control of the Jeep and it slammed into the home.

Irma Rodriguez says the impact pushed their bed across the room and scattered debris everywhere. She said the first person she thought of was her daughter.

"The first thing I noticed was the sound. I thought it was a tornado because bricks were thrown through the air in my bedroom. I ran to my daughter to see if she was okay," said Irma Rodriguez.

Tulsa Police say her husband is expected to be okay. A family member says he was treated and released and then went to his job.

Ashley Hill's blood alcohol content measured .15 percent and .16 percent in tests, the arresting officer said in his report. She was booked on a complaint of aggravated DUI.

Based on information in the booking report, Hill lives near the wreck scene and works at a bar in the 7900 block of East 41st Street.
