Authorities Search Mayes County For Suspected Car Thief

Authorities in Mayes County are searching for a Vinita man wanted on an outstanding warrant for possession of a stolen vehicle.

Court records show Rodney Pullen, 44, has served time in prison after being convicted of burglary, larceny and eluding in Craig, Delaware, Mays and Ottawa counties. The Oklahoma Department of Corrections shows he was released from prison in 2012.

Records show Pullen also has several outstanding warrants for failure to pay court fines.

Contrary to social media rumors, troopers said Pullen is considered non-violent and authorities aren't conducting a manhunt. Mayes County sheriff's deputies and Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers do not have a fully coordinated search, but instead just a response when they receive tips.
