Candied Soy Turnips

2c Small Diced Turnips

2T Vegetable Oil

2T Sesame oil

1T Fresh Chopped Garlic –OR- 1 ½ T Granulated Garlic

1T Fresh Chopped Ginger –OR- 1 ½ T Ginger Powder

3T Maggi Seasoning -OR- 6T Soy Sauce

1/4c Brown Sugar

2T Toasted Sesame Seeds

In a hot sauté pan or wok, heat both oils.  When oil is hot, add garlic & ginger and cook until slightly golden.  Add turnips, sauté until lightly brown.  Add Maggi/ soy sauce and brown sugar.  Coat turnips and cover with a lid.  Cook for approx. 5 minutes or until turnips are tender.  Uncover & cook until most liquid is gone.  Top with sesame seeds & serve.
