Tulsa firefighters say a duplex sustained about $10,000 in damage from a structure fire Sunday morning. Crews were called to the 2700 block of East Jasper Street at about 5:30 a.m.

Heavy flames were coming from a front window when fire crews arrived, according to Tulsa Fire Department Captain Josh Rutledge.

"They were able to contain the fire to the front room," he said. "Firefighters did a wonderful job this morning."

The property owner was on site and said the side damaged by fire was under renovation. The other side of the duplex was occupied, but the residents weren't at home.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
