A Missouri couple is in custody in Tulsa in connection with a child abduction case early Tuesday.

Tulsa Police got a tip a couple suspected of abducting three children was at a Tulsa restaurant.

Police found the couple and the three children -- a 3-year-old girl, a 5-year-old girl and a 7-year-old boy -- near the Wendy's restaurant at 21st and Wheeling.

Officers identify the couple as Julie Mendoza and Patrick McKinzie. Police took them into custody and turned the three children over to the Department of Human Services.

The St. Francois County Sheriff's Office says Mendoza, 27, was supposed to return the children after a visitation on November 3. But the sheriff's office said Patrick McKinzie posted on Facebook Monday that he was headed to California.

St. Francois County is located south of St. Louis.

Just after midnight, Tulsa Police got a tip the couple and the children were in Tulsa at the restaurant. Officers say they found all five walking in a neighborhood nearby.

McKinzie was booked into the Tulsa County jail on a fugitive from justice complaint.

Missouri authorities are on their way to Oklahoma to question the two adults.
