Hulbert Man Killed When His ATV Collides With Parked Van

A 53-year-old Hulbert man was killed after crashing his all-terrain vehicle into a parked van in Cherokee County on Saturday afternoon, according to authorities.

A collision report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Paul Jennings was driving an ATV four miles west of Tahlequah on North 450 Road when he struck an unoccupied 1993 Dodge van parked on private property.

Jennings was pronounced dead at the scene.

The report says Jennings was traveling at a high rate of speed when he hit the van.

Jennings' condition at the time of the crash is listed as apparently normal. The cause is still under investigation.
