Tulsa is sprucing up its stretch of Route 66.
City and county leaders dedicated the new "Cultural Crossroads" Thursday at 11th and Yale.
The intersection was rebuilt to include Route 66 shields embedded in the road. An Oklahoma centennial clock was added, as well, along with new benches and plaques.
But the upgrades go beyond good looks. There are new water lines and drainage systems, too.
