Ottawa County Mom Settles Lawsuit Over Daughter's Death On Playground

We've learned an Oklahoma mother has settled a lawsuit against an Ottawa County school district and two companies over the death of her 9-year-old daughter.

Cathy Collins' attorney told us he can't say anything beyond that, because of a confidentiality agreement.

Collins' daughter, Alyssa Avila, died in August 2010, after falling off a piece of playground equipment at Wyandotte Elementary School.

The X-Wave, which resembles at teeter-totter, was removed after the accident.
