Two Men Jailed In Separate Tulsa Walgreens Robberies

Police say one man turned himself in while another was caught thanks to a Crime Stoppers tip.

Tulsa police made two recent arrests for robberies of Walgreens Pharmacies. One man turned himself in while another was caught thanks to a Crime Stoppers tip, authorities say.

A 21-year-old Broken Arrow man turned himself in Monday morning for robbery. Patrick Michael Phillips brought a bag of stolen prescription bottles with him when he turned himself in at the Mingo Valley Division.

Phillips was arrested for robbery by force or fear in the robbery of the Walgreens at 15th and Yale on Sunday.

He is being held on a $50,000 bond.

A Crime Stoppers tip led to the arrest of a man for another Walgreens robbery - this one at 6505 East 71st Street. Police say Joshua James Levan, 33, reportedly told an employee behind the pharmacy counter that he had a gun.

He demanded prescription pain pills. The Tulsa  man is being held on a $50,000 bond for robbery by force or fear.
