Tulsa voters heard plans Monday night for a proposed bus rapid transit system.

City councilors and Indian Nations Council of Governments hosted a question and answer session about the $15 million project, which is part of the "Improve Our Tulsa" capital improvements package on the November 12, 2013 ballot.

The route would run along Peoria and would have a bus at every stop as often as every 15 minutes, during the busiest part of the day.

One in six bus trips in Tulsa is along Peoria, which is why the next improvement is planned there.

Tulsa Transit says ridership is up 24 percent over the past two years.
