Praise Chapel Bixby introduced its new 3,000 square-foot inflatable building to the public. They had "The Cube" set up in Washington Irving Park for worship service and for the First Annual Great Bixby Pumpkin Hunt.
The Cube is already getting the town talking, according to Pastor Brady Ellis of Praise Chapel Bixby.
"We set it up for the first time a few days ago, and it was funny to see people drive by, turn around and come back to see exactly what this large glowing cube in the park was," Ellis said.
The building glows with changing colors during night services.
Church service began at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, and the big family fun day started at 4:30 p.m. with face painting, pony rides, hay rides, live music and more. The main event - a pumpkin hunt at 6 p.m. - was compared to an Easter egg hunt - but with pumpkins.
Washington Irving Park is located at 13700 South Memorial Drive - on the west side of Memorial just north of the Arkansas River Bridge.
