TPS Extends Superintendent Keith Ballard's Contract For 1 Year

The Tulsa school board Monday night announced Superintendent Keith Ballard will be staying on for another year.

Ballard was originally scheduled to retire this past June, but agreed to stay on the job through the end of this school year, until July 2014. His contract has now been extended through 2015.

Since last year, the school board has been focused on recruiting top managers for the district, with the goal of possibly recruiting Ballard's successor from that group.
