Police Chase Motorcycle Thieves From Bixby To Broken Arrow

Authorities are looking for a man who stole a motorcycle and then lead officers on a chase late Sunday.

The theft occurred at the Marquis Apartments at 146th and Memorial in Bixby at about 11:20 p.m.

Bixby Police said witnesses called after seeing a man load a Yamaha motorcycle into the back of a pickup. A few minutes later, officers spotted the truck and chased it into Broken Arrow.

With help from Broken Arrow Police, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol and the Tulsa Police Department's helicopter, police located the truck in a neighborhood near 111th and Garnett. They found the motorcycle a block away lying in the road.

Police said they arrested a female passenger, but the driver had run away.

They returned the motorcycle to its owner.
