Crash On Highway 169 Stops Northbound Traffic At I-44

A motorcycle crash on Highway 169 near the I-44 interchange closed the northbound lanes of the highway Monday morning. 

Tulsa Police said the cyclist was weaving in and out of traffic and driving erratically just after 8 a.m.  At the bridge over I-44, an officer said the rider laid the bike down, causing it to skid for about 150 feet, wedging the motorcycle under the rear of a northbound vehicle.   

Police said the motorcyclist was wearing his helmet and only suffered a nose bleed.

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation says because of the crash, northbound drivers had to find an alternate route.
