Mother Nature is set to rain on Green Country's parade this weekend. Heavy rain is falling in many areas as a cold front interacts with moisture in the atmosphere.
There have been reports of flash flooding in some areas, including Skiatook, and temperatures are dropping as the front moves in behind the rain.
News On 6 WARN Team meteorologist Mike Grogan says there's good news and bad news. The bad news? It's going to rain.
"Saturday will be the soggier of the two weekend days as a cold front sweeps into Green Country," Grogan said.
"The front will slow its course Saturday evening, bringing the rain to a very gradual close from northwest to southeast."
The good news? It's going to rain - and we need it.
"Our wet spells have been very few and far between. As drought holds a significant grip on much of our state, we welcome the moisture to our parched ground," Grogan said.
