Supporters of Dusten Brown, biological father of "Baby Veronica," rallied Friday in downtown Tulsa. Several protestors held signs labeled "Standing Our Ground For Veronica Brown."

Four-year-old Veronica was transferred to the custody of her adoptive parents Matt and Melanie Capobianco on Monday. The Oklahoma Supreme Court lifted a stay that had kept Veronica with her biological father.

Members of the group expressed concern over possible fallout from the adoption affecting the Indian Child Welfare Act, a federal law passed in 1978 to give Native American tribes a larger role in the adoption of Indian children.

Other rallies were planned for Oklahoma City, San Antonio and several Michigan communities, according to the Native News Network.
