City Of Tulsa: Debris Pick-Up From July Storm To Be Finished This Week

Two months after a violent storm toppled trees across Tulsa, city crews are just about finished picking up all of the debris left behind. Only two of the 185 debris removal zones are left, and those will be cleared this week.

Crews have been working six days a week, 10 hours a day to clean up the mess, costing the city about $133,000.

About half of that came out the city's general fund, so there's more than $70,000 the city can use this winter.

As of Friday, the city collected 146,000 cubic yards. That's enough to cover a football field with debris piled seven stories high.
