Golf Channel To Feature 2 Owasso Students

The Golf Channel was in Green Country Tuesday to focus on a couple of Owasso students.

They followed Nathan and Noah Strickland around school. The brothers attend Rejoice Christian School on scholarships they've been given through the Folds of Honor program.

The program raises money through the annual Patriot Cup golf tournament to give scholarships to kids like Nathan and Noah. Their dad lost his legs while serving in Afghanistan.

"It's really neat that they get the recognition. They have been wonderful representatives and their whole family is so appreciative of the opportunity they had to get the scholarship and to have the boys here at a private Christian school," said Assistant Superintendent Lisa Zingerman.

The tournament was played on Memorial Weekend, but will air on the Golf Channel several times in November, around Veterans Day.
