A man and woman were arrested after police found them in the cement storm cellar in the back yard of a vacant house. Samuel Borders and Anna Collins are in Tulsa County Jail.

Officers were initially called to the 500 block of South 38th West Avenue at about 2 a.m. Monday on a burglary call. They found the couple in the storm shelter, and Borders ran off while Collins refused to come out, according to a news bulletin from the TPD.

An officer caught Borders who was carrying methamphetamine, police say.

Police brought a K-9 officer to the vacant house.

"The female then quickly surrendered when officer's commands were backed up by the K-9's barks," the release states.

Collins, 32, had an outstanding felony warrant. She is in the Tulsa County Jail on a $20,000 bond for application to revoke based on a previous sentence for meth possession.

Border, also 32, was arrested for drug possession after former conviction of a felony, possession of drug paraphernalia and obstructing an officer.
