A west Tulsa woman shot her husband as he was getting ready for work Saturday morning, according to the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office. He was taken to the hospital in serious condition.
TSCO Captain John Bryant said deputies were called to the 1600 block of South 77th West Avenue at about 6:15 a.m. They found a man who had been shot in the neck during an apparent domestic dispute.
The victim was conscious and able to talk.
Bryant said the man's wife of eight years shot her husband once in the neck with a handgun as he was walking from the den to the kitchen.
They arrested 45-year-old Lesley Morales for shooting with intent to kill and assault with a dangerous weapon.
"Best we can tell just from the preliminary - at the moment - it sounds like it was completely unprovoked other than just having a verbal argument," Bryant said.
"It didn't appear to be self-defense, but it's really going to take quite a bit more investigation."
Morales is being held on a $100,000 bond.
