Don't let the spiky hair fool you, Grant Sloan's country roots run deep. He grew up on a dairy farm in southwest Missouri which is why you may catch a little country "twang" in his voice from time to time.
Grant considers himself a movie buff and avid sports fan, and has bled San Francisco 49ers maroon and gold since the age of 8.
A rolling stone since leaving the "show me state" for college, Grant earned a degree in broadcast journalism from Harding University in Arkansas, waited tables in the shadow of the Rockies in Colorado, and made the trip to Oklahoma to join the News On 6 team, all in a one-year period.
Grant joined the number one station in Tulsa in 2011, and worked as a producer before eventually making the transition to full-time reporter.
One of his favorite aspects of the job is traveling to new towns and meeting new people.
If you catch Grant out in the field feel free to say hi, otherwise you can catch him on News On 6, Wednesday through Sunday, in the afternoon newscasts.
