Tulsa Police: Driver Injured After Running Red Light, Hitting Beer Truck

Tulsa Police said a driver ran a red light near 71st and Yale and slammed into the back of a Coors Beer truck Wednesday night.

Officers said the crash happened at about 11 p.m.

The impact knocked the truck's rear axle loose and caused the car to spin around.

EMSA took the driver to the hospital. There is no report on his condition.

The driver of the truck was not hurt.

While Tulsa Police were investigating the crash, they say a woman drove her Chevy Suburban around the road blocks in the intersection. They say she got out of the SUV and began arguing with the officers.

Tulsa Police gave her a ticket and towed her SUV because they say she didn't have insurance verification.
