An 83-year-old Skiatook man who was shot by an intruder early Wednesday has lost his fight for life.
Detective Shane Thompson with the Skiatook Police Department confirms Kenneth Cooper died Saturday night.
"We have two actual people of interest right now that we have guys out looking for," Thompson said. "If we don't find them tonight, we will probably be releasing some photos of them tomorrow."
Cooper was the victim of an apparent robbery and may have known the intruder, police said after the shooting August 14, 2013. Cooper's grandson, Brandon James, told News On 6 his grandfather was badly beaten before being shot.
James said Cooper kept large amounts of cash on hand and had been robbed and beaten about a month before the final incident. James also said the intruder got away with $10,000 cash the night of the shooting.
