A Tulsa man was arrested after police say he assaulted several people following a car crash Monday night. Craig Alen Oliver is in the Tulsa County Jail on several complaints including driving under the influence, second offense.

When Tulsa police got to the scene of a three-car wreck in the 8100 block of East 21st Street at about 8 p.m., they found firefighters restraining Oliver, pinning him to the ground. Witnesses told police Oliver crashed into two other vehicles then assaulted one of the other drivers, punching and choking him.

"Subject also slammed the victim to the ground," the arresting officer said in his report.

Oliver, 44, had slurred speech and smelled strongly of alcohol, according to police. Officers cuffed him and put him in a patrol car.

"He slipped his cuffs to the front and began kicking the car," the report states. When the Tulsa man kicked the patrol door open, it struck one of the police officers on the arm.

Oliver reportedly told police he "would remember their faces and get them later," trying to kick them after being taken down to the ground.

He was booked on complaints of felony DUI, second offense; assault and battery on a police officer, threatening a violent act, obstruction, assault and battery, no insurance verification and reckless driving.

He is being held in lieu of a $12,300 bond.
