The OSBI is searching for a person of interest in the stabbing death of a former Blackwell police officer.

Agents say Janett Reyna, 29, was stabbed in her apartment at 1013 South 10th Street in Blackwell Thursday morning. She was taken to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

The OSBI and Blackwell Police Department are searching for 29-year-old Luis Octavio Frias, who they say may have information that could help the case move forward. Frias is described as 5-foot-11, and weighing about 200 pounds. Investigators believe he is on foot, at this time.

Reyna's three young children, who agents say were inside the apartment when their mother was stabbed, have been taken into protective custody. They'll remain in state's custody until their father comes forward.

Anyone with information about Frias' whereabouts is asked to call the OSBI at 1-800-522-8017.
