Oklahoma businesses are expecting a busy shopping weekend, thanks to the state's three-day sales tax holiday.
School starts in less than two weeks for many districts.
According to the Oklahoma Tax Commission, clothing or footwear that is less than $100 is exempt from state sales tax August 2 - 4.
Some of the items not included in the sales tax holiday are athletic shoes, jewelry, handbags, luggage, umbrellas, wallets and watches.
State law requires retailers to participate.
The tax commission says Oklahoma shoppers saved nearly $7 million in sales tax during last year's sales tax holiday weekend.
Oklahoma reimburses cities and counties for any sales tax revenue they lose during the weekend.
The Oklahoma Tax Commission has set up a special web page to answer questions about the holiday which began Friday at 12:01 a.m. and ends at midnight Sunday.
