Believe it or not, its August and that means school will be starting in just a few weeks for a lot of students.
The state's sales tax holiday begins just after midnight. Walmart says this is the store's second busiest shopping season, after the holidays.
But shopping experts say back to school budgets are coming in about $50 tighter than last year.
"According to the National Retail Federation, a family with school age children will spend about $635 on school supplies, electronics, pencils, that kind of thing. Of that budget, about half of it is going to be spent solely on shoes and apparel," said Erica Jones, of Walmart.
