Police Helicopter Assists In Arrest Of Bixby Fugitive

A man wanted for jumping bail in Okmulgee County is in the Tulsa County Jail after leading police on a chase late Wednesday.

A fugitive recovery agent from Tulsa County called for help in tracking down Christopher Brown, 27, of Bixby.

Officers got a description of Brown and the car he was driving.

Tulsa Police spotted Brown's car at about 11 p.m. They chased him on East 21st Street and south on 145th East Avenue where Brown jumped out and ran into the woods.

"Our helicopter got here. It took us a while to find him because it is pretty thick back there where he was hiding. But our helicopter directed our ground unit to where the suspect was hiding in some trees," said Tulsa Police Sgt. Mark Watson.

Police booked Brown into the Tulsa County jail on an eluding complaint as well as a hold out of Okmulgee County.
