Carlos Ramirez hit a two-run single in the top of the ninth inning Thursday night to lift the Arkansas Travelers to a 2-0 win over the Tulsa Drillers.

Ramirez' single was only Arkansas' fourth hit of the game, but it's all they needed. Tulsa only managed two hits.

Arkansas' Brandon Hynick and Tulsa's Chad Bettis exchanged one impressive inning after another.  Hynick allowed just one hit in seven innings while Bettis allowed just two hits in seven.

Mike Morin pitched one scoreless inning to earn the win.  Leuris Gomez took the loss for the Drillers, allowing two runs in two innings.

Jaron Shepherd and Delta Cleary were the only Drillers to record hits.

The four-game series with Arkansas resumes Friday night at ONEOK Field.
