A Sand Springs man was arrested late Saturday after a witness report led Tulsa County Sheriff's Office deputies to his home. Jalyn Jov'an Reed, 19, was booked into Tulsa County Jail on complaints of robbery with a firearm, possession of a firearm while on probation, and possession of marijuana.
He is being held on a $110,250 bond.
Authorities believe Reed was involved in an armed robbery Friday, April 26, 2013, at the Stampede Store, 4035 South 225th West Avenue. During the robbery, the suspect held two people at gunpoint.
When deputies went to question Reed at his home, they found a gun matching the witness's description on his bed. They also found a bag containing 14 grams of marijuana, according to the arrest report.
"On the way to jail, Jalyn told me that he knew where a bag was that contained evidence from the robbery," said arresting Deputy Brian Osman. "The bag had a black hoodie in it consistent with the clothing description of the robbery suspect."
"Jalyn told me that he knew that the store was robbed, but that he didn't do it."
Reed was on probation for false declaration of ownership at a pawn shop at the time of his arrest.
