A Muskogee man shot by a business owner last week was arrested early Tuesday after walking out of a hospital.

Muskogee Police say Joseph Carpenter, 35, left the hospital some time after 6 p.m. Monday, April 15, 2013 against medical advice.

Early Tuesday, Muskogee Police tracked Joseph Carpenter to a motel on South 32nd Street where they arrested him and booked him into jail on a complaint of second degree burglary.

The owner of Fast Wrecker, Dale Ford, said he shot Carpenter in the early hours of April 11, 2013.
