Thunderstorms, some severe, are expected in south central Kansas and north central Oklahoma along an advancing cold front.
"These storms are expected to fire after 5 p.m. and may impact our region from 7 p.m. through midnight," said WARN Team meteorologist Mike Grogan.
"The primary threats with these storms will be large hail and damaging winds. Torrential downpours and frequent lightning are also likely."
The severe weather threat encompasses all areas along and north of Highway 412. The best chance of thunderstorms will be near the Oklahoma/Kansas border.
The severe weather threat will continue through midweek with a stalled frontal boundary in the region, Grogan said.
