Around 2:30 a.m. Sunday, the driver of a 1997 Ford Mustang lost control of his vehicle while traveling westbound on 61st Street just east of U.S. Highway 75.
The car left the road, struck a boulder and rolled over. No other vehicles were involved.
Police say the 40-year-old male driver suffered only mild injuries and left the scene of the accident on foot. He walked westbound and was apprehended just west of U.S. 75 on 61st for driving under the influence of alcohol, according to Tulsa Police Officer Ryan Melchior.
The driver was not transported by EMSA but rather by TPD, who took him to the hospital to treat a minor head laceration.
