The state named the Coleman Theatre, in Miami, the premiere vaudeville theatre in Oklahoma, KOAM TV reports.

It's a big honor for the small town. Built by mining magnate George Coleman, the theatre opened in 1929, but after decades of neglect, it fell into disrepair.

The town banded together to bring the spark back to the Coleman, and, until now, their efforts went mostly unnoticed.

"For a long time, we were more famous in Europe than we were in the local area, so this will indeed be a huge tool as we market what we have to offer here at the theatre," said the Coleman Executive Director Barbara Smith.

The Coleman offers tours five days a week. If you're ever in the area, it's definitely worth a stop.
