Tulsa Wins Blog's 'Parking Madness' Championship In Landslide Vote

Blog readers have spoken and Tulsa has won the "Golden Crater."

Tulsa beat out Milwaukee in StreetsBlog.org's parking Parking Madness poll. The blog was on the hunt for the worst "parking crater" in an American downtown area, so the distinction is not necessarily an honor.

Tulsan Stephen Lassiter said he nominated his hometown, because he'd like to see more business downtown and less surface parking.

"When most of our revenue comes from sales tax, this might not be the best use for the land," Lassiter said.
