Kevin Sweat's First Murder Trial Moved To Creek County

A judge has ruled for a change of venue in a Okfuskee County murder case. Kevin Sweat, who is accused of killing his girlfriend Ashley Taylor as well as two young Weleetka girls, was granted the change of venue request Tuesday.

His trial in Taylor's death will take place in Bristow, Judge Lawrence Parish ruled.

The trial is scheduled to begin June 10, 2013.

Sweat was in custody in connection with his girlfriend's death when he told investigators he shot 13-year-old Taylor Placker and 11-year-old Skyla Whitaker as they walked along a rural road.

That trial has not been scheduled.
