Affidavit: Bartlesville Woman Fatally Stabbed Husband With Switch Blade

A Bartlesville woman was charged Monday in Washington County court with first degree murder following the death of her husband early Sunday, April 7, 2013.

A Bartlesville woman was charged Monday in Washington County court with first degree murder following the death of her husband on Sunday, April 7, 2013.

Stacey Thompson, 33, was arrested at 1:48 a.m. after Bartlesville Police were called to the couple's home in the 1100 block of South Maple about a domestic disturbance.

According to an affidavit filed in the case, a witness told police she saw Stacey Thompson and her husband Bobby Thompson, 33, fighting in the front yard. During the fight, the witness said Stacey stabbed her husband in the chest with a "switch blade" knife.

The witness told police Stacey Thompson had threatened to stab Bobby Thompson "if the disturbance continued."

During a court appearance Monday, Thompson was ordered held on a $100,000 bond.  Her next court appearance is April 19, 2013.
