Oral Roberts University senior guard Kevi Luper was named a First Team Mid-Major All-American by leading women's basketball website Full Court Press, it was announced today. Luper is the lone Southland Conference player to receive a spot on FCP's top three Mid-Major All-America squads.
The All-America nod is the third this season for Luper. The Adair native was named a Second Team Senior CLASS Award All-American and a Third Team Mid-Major All-American by College Sports Madness.
Luper averaged 19.0 points and 2.7 steals per game as a senior, leading the Golden Eagles to the SLC regular season and tournament championships. The three-time Summit League Player of the Year capped her career on March 23, when she led all scorers with 20 points in an 82-63 loss to Tennessee in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
Luper finished her career with 2,867 points, 14th-most in NCAA Division I history, and 463 steals, 6th-best in the Division I career ranks.
ORU finished 18-13 in 2012-13, with a 15-5 mark against Southland Conference opponents. The NCAA Tournament appearance was the sixth in Golden Eagle program history and the first under coach Misti Cussen.
