Tulsa Police: Driver Runs Over Man During Fight Over Woman

Police arrested a 23-year-old Tulsa man they say ran over another man during a fight outside a nightclub in south Tulsa early Friday.

The incident happened outside the Blush Nightclub at 61st and Memorial just before 12:45 a.m.

Tulsa Police say Blayne Carver and another man got into a fight outside the club and Carver got into his car and ran over the other man.

The victim was taken to the hospital with multiple leg injuries. Police say he is expected to be okay.

Officers say Carver would have gotten away if it hadn't been for some people who stopped him from leaving the scene.

"Some citizens that were also present at the time of the incident were able to stop the vehicle about the same time that officers arrived, and with the assistance of security they were able to hold the suspect until officers arrived and placed him into custody," said Tulsa Police Sgt. Vic Regalado.

Blayne Carver was booked into the Tulsa County jail on complaints of assault with a deadly weapon and leaving the scene of a property damage accident.

Police believe the fight started over a woman.

Carver's bond is $25,500.
