Steffon Griffin said the attack happened while he was asleep, and every bone in his face but one was broken. Now, Paul Byrd faces charges for the attack.

Wagoner County Man Charged For Attacking Man With Shovel

The Wagoner County District Attorney's Office filed charges Wednesday against a young man accused of attacking another with a shovel.

We told you last month how Steffon Griffin had attended a bonfire and had been playing the guitar and singing, then fell asleep in a lawn chair. He said someone hit him in the face with a metal shovel, breaking every bone in his face except his jaw.

Paul Byrd was arrested for that attack and quickly bonded out of jail. He has now been charged with aggravated assault and battery.
