Two Oral Roberts men's basketball players picked up all-district honors from the National Association of Basketball Coaches. Seniors Damen Bell-Holter and Warren Niles were each named to the first team all-district. It is the second year in a row in which ORU has had a first team selection, with Dominique Morrison picking up the honor last season.
Niles and Bell-Holter are the first pair to earn first team all-district honors in school history, and make it 16 all-time selections. Both have their names all over the single-season and career record books at ORU with Niles recently passing ORU Hall of Famer Tim Gill for eighth all-time at ORU with 1,966 career points and is fourth in career 3-pointers made with 290, while Bell-Holter has moved into fifth on the career rebounding charts with 870 and is fourth in blocked shots with 138.
Both were named to the All-Southland Conference first team as well, and were joined on the all-district first team by fellow SLC standouts Taylor Smith (SFA) and Brandon Fortenberry (SLU).
