A Henryetta man was killed after being partially thrown from his truck in an early Sunday morning wreck. Richard Pulliam, 42, was pronounced dead at the scene of the single-vehicle crash.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers say Pulliam was eastbound on State Highway 266 about two miles east of Dewar in Okmulgee County at 2:31 a.m. His 2001 Ford F250 left the roadway, going through a private drive and hitting a railroad tie. The truck then went back through a ditch, rolled and struck a tree.

Pulliam, who was not wearing a seat belt, died of head and internal injuries.

His condition at the time of the wreck is listed as unknown. The cause of the crash is under investigation, according to Trooper Bobby Raines, Okmulgee detachment.
