RSU's Fleck Named Conference Pitcher Of The Week

Rogers State pitcher Laura Fleck was named Sooner Athletic Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week for the week of March 4-10.

Fleck, a sophomore from Muskogee, Okla., was 6-0 on the week with a 1.16 earned run average. She struck out 26 batters in 30 innings of work with wins over Tabor, Friends, Southwestern (Kan.) and three wins over USAO.

Lubbock Christian's Latainna Eltsosie was named conference player of the week. Eltsosie, a senior from Albuquerque, N.M., led LCU to a 3-1 week in four games against Oklahoma Baptist with four home runs, 11 RBI and a .615 batting average. She slugged 1.538 and also scored five runs and walked once.

Rogers State (18-0, 4-0) is off to its best start in program history. The Hillcats return to action on Tuesday as they travel to Oklahoma City to take on Mid-America Christian in a doubleheader at 1 p.m.
