A wreck involving two vehicles claimed a life on an exit ramp near the Will Rogers Turnpike in Craig County on Friday morning.

In a collision report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, investigators said the driver of a 2001 Honda sedan was on the off-ramp for U.S. Highway 69 when he rear-ended a travel trailer being pulled behind a truck.

Carl Grometer, 33, of Illinois, was pinned for about 30 minutes and pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the pickup, 42-year-old Sean Cosper, of Chouteau, was not injured.

OHP lists Grometer's condition and the cause of the collision as "apparently sleepy."

Both drivers were wearing seat belts.
