Two Tulsans are enjoying a much-needed vacation after a blizzard stranded them in their car all day Monday.
Dusty Penn and Chelsea Hill were heading to Colorado for a ski trip. They took an extreme southern route through Amarillo to avoid the storm, but accidentally hit it head on.
The whiteout conditions shut down Interstate-40.
They had to sit in their Jeep for 17 hours before they were rescued, but by Tuesday night, they were skiing in Colorado.
